RSVP Deadline Fast Approaching

This this years ASRITE Feast of Tishri Celebration Banquet and Silent Auction Fundraiser RSVP registration deadline is almost upon us.

If you are planning to attend this years event - then please get your registration forms in as soon as possible!

This black tie optional event is open to the public, so you can encourage any family members, friends, co-workers, prospects, etc., to attend!

Live music entertainment will be provided by the Giovanni String Quartet, followed by a wonderful dinner consisting of grilled fillet mignon with broiled shrimp and crabmeat. And our featured Guest Speaker will be Racing Legend and Hall of Famer Bobby Unser (3 time Indianapolis 500 Champion and 2 time National Champion).

Hotel Regisration Deadline Approaching

Just a reminder - the deadline to register a room(s) for the Feast of Tishri at the Albuquerque Pyramid Marriott North Hotel is on Wednesday, August 17 th, 2011 - by midnight. Just 2 weeks away!

Rooms are $99 (plus tax) and are limited - so they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please make arrangements now if you plan on staying the night.

FOT Guest Speaker

It is with great pleasure that we announce this year's Guest Speaker:

Racing Legend and Hall of Famer Bobby Unser (3 time Indy 500 Champion and 2 time National Champion). This year marks the 100 year anniversary of the Indy 500 and the Centenial Era of the Indianapolis Moter Speedway.

Bobby Unser was named as one of Sports Illustrated's "Top Five Athletes" in the popular magazine's first twenty years and he is a member of ESPN's elite "Field of the Century" for the Indianapolis 500 (the top 33 drivers spanning the past 100 years). Bobby has been inducted to numerous hall of fames to include the Indy 500 Hall of Fame, International Motersports Hall of Fame, Indianapolis Motor Speeday Hall of Fame

Bobby Unser is truly one of auto racings living legends and it is an honor for ASRITE to have him as our Guest Speaker for the Feast of Tishri Celebration Banquet and Silent Auction Fundraiser.

FOT Guest Speaker Update

Several inquires have been made as to who our Guest Speaker might be for the 2011 Feast of Tishri Celebration Banquet and Silent Auction Fundraiser in September. We are hoping to make a formal announcement very soon, but we have to ensure there are no conflicts with our speakers very busy schedule prior to locking him into our event.

As soon as we can work out the availability schedule of our desired Guest Speaker - we make a formal announcement on the blog.

6:00 p.m. ~ Silent Auction Opens (to support NMSRF RiteCare)
6:30 p.m. ~ Dinner will be served to Guests
7:30 p.m. ~ Officer Introductions & Celebratory Toasts
8:15 p.m. ~ Guest Speaker (TBA)
9:00 p.m. ~ Dancing & Socializing

FOT Announcement - 2011 S.R. Spring Reunion

From Friday, April 29th - Sunday, May 1st, 2011 members of ASRITE hosted an informational display booth for the 2011 Scottish Rite Spring Reunion at the Valley of Santa Fe Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Santa Fe, NM.

During this 3 day event, members of ASRITE talked about various club activities to include the upcoming Feast of Tishri (FOT) Celebration Banquet and Silent Auction Fundraiser. It was our first opportunity to get the word out about the event and to promote ticket sales.

Overall - initial feedback about the FOT at the 2011 Spring Reunion was very positive and we look forward to promoting this event over the next several months.

FOT - Music Entertainment

Brethren and Knights,

We are pleased to announce that the Giovanni String Quartet (GSQ). GSQ is a traditional string quartet composed of two violins, viola, and cello. Since 1987, this group of local professional musicians has performed in Albuquerque, New Mexico and elsewhere in the Southwest for weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

This is a welcome addition to the Feast of Tishri.
